Viz, James Sweetland, John Kennelly, John Rearden, James Burdet, William Buckley, Joseph Noble, and Samuel Rhodes. For The Murder of Capt. Edw. Bryan; of the Tewksbury of Bristol and Runing away with the said Ship, November 2, 1737. At a Court of Admiralty, held at Cape Coast Castle, on the Coast of Africa, on the 19th Day of the said Month. Printed and Sold by S. and F. Farley, also by J. Wilson and P. Browne, and by the Booksellers of London and Westminster. HT, TP, 19pp, nicely bound in later quarter calf and marbled boards, with ex libris embossed circular armorial bookplate of Edward Hailstone of Walton Hall (1818-1890), renowned bibliophile, book collector and antiquary, 5th son of botanist Samuel Hailstone. He bequeathed his library to the Dean & Chapter Library in York. An exceptionally rare and scarce book, in lovely condition. The ESTC (English Short Title Catalogue) No T113004 records two variants of the work, the two of this copy being held in the British Library and Harvard University Library, the other, in the Bodleian Library Oxford.
