Patterson Samuel - Narrative Of The Adventures And Sufferings Of Samuel Patterson Experienced In The Pacific Ocean, And Many Other Parts Of The World, With An Account Of The Feegee, And Sandwich Islands. From The Press, In Palmer, May 1, 1817, xii, 144pp, pages 125-128 missing lower two thirds, edge wear, discolouration and staining, some losses, edge splits, calf. A very rare but very well worn and used copy. The story of a New England sailor's accounts of travails in the Pacific 1805-07; Patterson was so traumatized one Ezekiel Terry of Wilbraham, Massachusetts, compiled the account from documents, pages 64-73 document Hawaii with insights into the culture and monarchy, page 100 mentions cannibalism.
