339 leaves (of 366, with the final blank but without the tabula and its title, presumed never present, and the map of Europe found in one issue), double column, 51 lines and headline, gothic letter, numerous woodcut illustrations including the world map (Shirley, first issue), large woodcut initials, approximately 12 leaves with short tear (touching text on a few, 2 with some loss to blank margin), lengthy early sixteenth century ownership inscription of Jacob Matzenberger, a Benedictine from Memmingen, with an English translation loose in the back of the book, a few manuscript sidenotes, contemporary blindstamped vellum over wooden boards, brass catches, a few single wormholes. A reduced version of the famous Nuremberg Chronical of 1493, and considerably rarer than the original, housed in a conservation clamshell box.
