Boccaccio Giovanni - Labirinto d amore De Messer Giovanni Boccaccio Nomato Il Corbaccio, Francesco Griffo (Francesco de Bologna) edition, 1516, 70ff, calf with gilt lines, raised spine bands and gilt decorated compartments, marbled EP's and fore-edges, 2cm split to lower spine, old water staining otherwise good, 10 x 5.5cm. Exceptionally rare. One of the most celebrated punch-cutters of the Renaissance, Griffo famously cut the typefaces for Aldus Manutius in Venice, because Griffo's independent venture in Bologna was short lived (spanning roughly 1516-1517) copies from this run are exceptionally scarce.
