Lot Details

Printed for John Bell, London, 1788, Vols 1 & 2 Prolegomena to the Dramatick Writings of Will Shakspere. Vols 3-20 The Plays, each with 2-4 engraved portraits of prominent actors, full red calf with gilt decorated border and spine, ex libris engraved armorial BP of Ambrose Lyon Poynter (1796-1886) renowned British architect and one of the founding members of the Institute of British Architects. A very nice and complete set of the rare Bell's Edition of Shakespeares works.
