A rare chromolithograph produced by A. D. Willis, Lithographer, Wanganui. The view is from the Maori village of Waitangi which lies on the northern shore of Lake Tarawera. Blomfield who had not witnessed the eruption composed the study purely from what he had been told of it. 38.5 x 49cm.
