Performed Under the Direction of Captains Cook, Clerke, and Gore, In his Majesty's Ships the Resolution and Discovery, In the Years 1776, 1777, 1778, 1779 & 1780. In Three Volumes. Vol I and II Written by Captain James Cook, F.R.S., Vol III by Captain James King, LL.D and F.R.S., first edition W & A Strahan, G Nicol and T Cadell, London, 1784. 30cm, Vol I xcvi, 421pp, Vol II 549pp, Vol III 558pp, 86 engraved plates, folding maps and charts including atlas, Plate LXXXV, Views on the coast of Kamtchatka before page 313 of Vol III is missing, and there is no sign of it having been bound in. Full mottled calf, gilt titled and decorated spines, splits to joints, 3 text volumes with BP of Charles Ramus Esq, atlas with BP of T.A.D. Edinton, all 4 with loan labels for Nelson College Library.
