(Fore-Edge Painted) Sumptibus Editoris excudebant, M Ritchie & J Sammels, Londini, MDCCXC (1790), vi, 484 (1)pp, 8vo. contemporary green morocco, gilt lines, marbled endpapers, with concealed beneath the gilt fore-edges an attractive and well executed original watercolour of an English country mansion with anglers in the foreground and horses beneath a tree (with accompanying colour photo of the fore-edge painting) Some darkening to spine and around cover edges, spine ends rubbed, 1874 inscription giving provenance from the Library of the Duc de La Valliere.
