A Superb Ngati Tarawhai Kumete ( Food Bowl) The deep bowl of circular tapering form carved with large rauru spirals, each with elliptical centers and triple ridges with rauponga carving divided by interlacing triple ridge designs with further rauponga detailing. The handle carved in high relief with an ancestral figure with wheku face with inset paua shell eyes and with a further wheku head issuing from the bowl ridge. 24 cm diameter 12 cm depth Y 1224
