(-) A First Second & Third Collection of Favourite Songs Sung at Vaux Hall by Mrs Weichsell Compos'd By John Christian Bach, all three collections printed by Welcker, circa 1765-1771. First Collection 16 pages, Second 18, and Third 22, bound in half burgundy morocco and marbled boards. Together with Le Retour Des Chansons by M Ponchard, with a handwritten note on the provenance of the book. The specific titles of the 3 music book collections refer to J. C. Bach's famed vocal collections published in London in the late 18th century and feature popular pleasure garden arias and ballads performed by Mrs Frederica Weichsell, a leading soprano and mother of the celebrated opera star Elizabeth Billington.
