Buller Sir Walter Lawry - A History of the Birds Of New Zealand (2 Volumes) Published (For The Subscribers) By The Author, Second Edition, London, 1888, Vol I, lxxxiv, 250pp (6) Vol II, xv, 359pp, complete with 48 chromolithographs after J. G. Keulemans with tissue guards, 2 other lithos and wood engravings, original, quarter dark green morocco, green cloth with gilt pictorial, to cover and spine, new endpapers, usual age foxing, otherwise a nice tight set of the most sought after of Bullers works. The set also comes with its original receipt (No 8) for the sum of ten guineas dated June 1889 to a Mr Edwin Harding of Mount Vernon, Napier.
