Lot Details

the central panels depicting preparations for battle, the surrounding vignettes depicting various mythological figures including Themis and Medusa, some faults to glass, replacement C19th carved frames in keeping - entirety of each frame 53 x 57cm One with inscription on reverse, the translation of which can be read in a letter from the Keeper of the Department of Ceramics, Victoria and Albert Museum, dated 1967, see attached files for this letter and another later one
