The taurapa (sternpost) features a manaia figure amongst two ribs surrounded by pierced spiral motifs and small forward facing manaia figure. The hull decorated with manaia figures with paua shell inset eyes.The tauihu (bow) with pierced decoration, depicting manaia, spiral motifs and various figures. Forward facing wheku mask with paua inset eyes and rear facing standing figure. Painted elongated motifs to lower hull. Kiato (thwart) lashed to hull.
