reproduction prints, 255 x 185mm each, 795 x 437mm entirety of frame The sketches are of mission girls in their mission school clothes. The sketch on the right is the only known image of its era of a young girl writing. The first two sketches are believed to be Merrett’s young wife Rangitetaea Toa and their baby born 1843 wearing English clothing.
