Being A Memoir of the Rev George N Gordon and Ellen Catherine Powell. Macnab And Shaffer, Halifax, Nova Scotia, first edition, 1863, viii, ii, 294pp, frontis port of the authors, original blind stamped dark green cloth. Gordon and his wife went to the South Pacific in 1855 and they settled in Eromanga Island in 1857, one of the 3 southernmost islands of the New Hebrides They were killed and cannibalized in 1861. The author's brother met the same fate eleven years later.
