Lot Details

(2 Volumes) cum notis doctorum virorum integris, vel editis antehac nunc auctis & emendatis, etc, etc. Apud Samuelem Luchtmans, Et Filium, Lugduni Batavorum, 1746, large folio, original full vellum with blind embossed ornamental cartouche, 7 raised bands, hand written spine title, title pages printed in red and black. Hysechius of Alexandria, a 5th century grammarian, compiled the richest lexicon of unusual and obscure Greek words that have survived. Early 19th century ink inscription to FEP. Scarce set in nice order.
