George Didsbury, Government Printer, Wellington, first edition, 1887-1891. Volumes I-III Horo-Uta or Taki Tumu Migration. Vols IV-VI Tai-Noi, together with the rare 1891 illustrations volume. 6 text volumes in half burgundy morocco with marbled EPs and fore-edges, general foxing to all, Vol I rear large folding map taped, illustrations volume with blue printed paper wrapper. A monumental work on the full history of the Maori, their customs, language, warfare etc.
