First editions: first U.K. Edition, with imprint “Faber and Faber, London and Boston”; and first N.Z. Edition, with imprint “Faber and Faber / in association with / Penguin Books (NZ) Ltd”; both 1983, the latter signed by the author on title; different ISBNs and prices, both typeset in the U.K. but printed by Bright Sun in Hong Kong who saw a saving in having no endpapers.
