Macdonald, London, 1945. 207pp, 8vo boards, foxing mainly on fore-edges, owner's names inside cover almost hidden by a flap of d/w, which is in good condition apart from loss at head of spine panel and cover, now in mylar protector. Eden and Ngaio Marsh were some of New Zealand’s most successful novelists in the 1950s and 1960s, selling multiple titles in a dozen languages. This was Eden’s third novel and, like all her pre-1950 books, very scarce, especially in d/w.
