A 19th Century Mere Pounamu Kawakawa variety stone with dark speckled inclusions, blade tapering to the grip section terminating in seven graduating cut grooves. Handle pierced in the traditional manner with a countersunk hole. Small amount of fritting to the blade. 30cm length. Y 16544
