East Newk, Alfred Reginald Thomson (British 1894-1979) St Monans, East Newk oil on canvas 49 x 39cm Alfred Reginald Thomson R.A was an official War Artist to the Royal Air Force during World War Two. In 1948 Thomson won a Gold Medal for painting, he was the last to do so as art events were abandoned in subsequent Olympic games.
