Venezia 1776 (published 1779), hand coloured map, title vignette lower right and text relating to Captain Cook lower left, in a burr maple frame, fold line visible otherwise an excellent clean map. This is the first edition of the first decorative map to show Cook's tracks in the Pacific. Zatta was a leading cartographer and publisher in the 18th century.
