A rare stone tooled Hei Tiki carved in the classic type I form made in Kawakawa variety stone. This Hei Tiki displays two countersunk suspension holes indicating its significant age. The head is oriented to the left with widely recessed eyes, a nasal ridge that extends to the edge of the head, and a single curve for the mouth. Label to the back "Kaikai Beach." 9cm length. Y07843
