with painted frame and central photo of the ship, 13 cm diam. Built by John Brown & Co, Scotland and launched in 1912 the ship made 162 round trips between NZ, Australia and Canada. On June 19th 1940 whilst carrying 590 gold bars from South Africa it struck a German mine in the Hauraki Gulf. The ship however was instrumental in spreading the Spanish flu to NZ carrying infected passengers from Vancouver via Hawaii, Fiji, NZ & Sydney.
